BALTIMORE — Police continued Tuesday to investigate after a 2-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl playing in a small swimming pool were injured by stray bullets Monday night.
Video From The SceneOfficers were called out to the 2400 block of Winchester Street in west Baltimore at about 10 p.m. Monday.
Rescue workers said that a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics for treatment. The boy was shot in the chest, and the the girl was shot in the lower right leg.
Their conditions haven’t been released by the hospital.The children were playing in a baby pool in front of their apartment at the time of the shooting, officers said.Witnesses said the shooting started up the street, away from where the children were playing, and that as many as 11 shots were fired.Investigators have not released further information.
