Horrific case … Kalra Mauerova wept in court as she admitted torturing her son Ondrej, and his ten-year-old brother / AFP
  • Kalra Mauerova “caged son for months”
  • Allegedly skinned parts of him and fed it to relatives
  • “Followed order from leader of religious cult”

A MOTHER is accused of partially skinning her caged son and feeding it to relatives.

Kalra Mauerova, 31, of Brno in the Czech Republic, wept in court as she admitted torturing her son Ondrej, and his ten-year-old brother, Jakub,  The Sun reported.

Ms Mauerova, a member of the Grail Movement cult, caged Ondrej for months while relatives, also members of the cult,  ate his raw flesh, a judge heard yesterday.

The court in Brno heard the family sexually abused the boys and made them cut themselves with knives.

The boys said they were kept in cages or handcuffed to tables and made to stand for days in their own urine.

The abuse was discovered when a man living nearby installed a TV monitor to keep watch on his newborn baby.

Instead of pictures of his newborn he was confronted by live images of Ondrej naked in the cellar — beaten and chained, The Sun reporrted.

Ms Mauerova is understood to have installed the monitor so she could watch her victims suffering from her kitchen.

Police were called, and the boy and his brother, as well as what appeared to be a 13-year-old girl, were freed.

The teenage girl later turned out to be 34 — and one of the torturers.

Ms Mauerova accused the woman — fellow cult member Barbora Skrlova — of brainwashing her.

“Terrible things have happened. I realise it and can’t understand how I could have allowed it,” Ms  Mauerova was reported as saying.

The court heard the abuse of Ondrej and Jakub was co-ordinated via text messages sent by a leader of the Grail Movement cult — who was known only as the “Doctor”.

The trial of Ms Mauerova, another relative and their bogus sister Skrlova — who fled and was later found posing as a boy in Norway — continues.

Man sentenced to death for bludgeoning death of 85-year-old

Filed under: Crime — GBNF @ 8:27 pm

Alfonzo Morris was sentenced to death today for the second time in the 1997 bludgoning death of a frail 85-year-old woman in her home.

Morris, 47, also was sentenced to death in 2003 for killing Miriam Rochester while robbing her and burglarizing her home. An appeals court overturned the conviction.

Morris was convicted again in May by a Jefferson County jury, which recommended a death sentence in a 10-2 advisory verdict. Circuit Judge Tommy Nail upheld the recommendation during a sentencing hearing this morning.

Morris claimed during his trial that he was innocent, despite the fact that he was caught hours after the murder with the victim’s jewelry in his pocket and her blood on his shoe.

He said he won the jewelry in a dice game. Morris also told jurors that the victim’s dog transferred the blood to his shoe when the dog brushed against him after police took him to the crime scene. Police testified that Morris was not taken to Rochester’s East Lake home after his arrest.

The lawsuit: Mom of inmate who died at Kilby sues Alabama prison officials

The mother of an inmate who died mysteriously last summer after being incarcerated at Kilby Correctional Facility sued Alabama prison officials Monday, claiming her son died because he was left in a hot cell after being prescribed drugs that made him susceptible to heat.

Farron Barksdale died Aug. 20, 12 days after being transferred from the Limestone County Jail to Kilby, in Mount Meigs near Montgomery. An autopsy found that the 32-year-old died of “complications of bronchopneumonia, with contributory factors of hyperthermia and coagulopathy.”

NEW YORK (AP) — A Bronx woman who was involved in a Las Vegas brawl that police say NFL star Adam “Pacman” Jones’ incited has been found dead.

Police say 26-year-old Sadia Morrison was found dead last week behind a Bronx building. Officers found her unresponsive with injuries consistent with a fall.

The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.

Morrison pleaded no contest to a felony battery charge last year in Las Vegas.

She was involved in a strip club melee that Las Vegas police say was incited by Jones, who pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge.

Jones, traded from Tennessee to Dallas this year, missed all of the 2007 season while serving an NFL suspension that hasn’t yet been completely lifted.
