BOSTON — Human remains found in the woods of Fitchburg last week have been identified, Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said Tuesday.
The skeletal remains, found near Water Street last week, were identified as those of Sharon Norris, who disappeared about two years ago. Investigators used dental records to identify the remains.Teenagers found the remains in the woods between Water Street and Duck Mill Road last week.
Norris, also known as Sharon Kuykendall, lived on Water Street. She was last seen alive in August 2006.The cause of death is still under investigation.
