Cincinnati police are investigating the city’s latest homicide after two men were shot in Corryville Sunday morning.

Police were called to the scene in the 3200 block of Jefferson Avenue around 2:30 a.m as a crowd was leaving the Corinthian Restaurant and Lounge.

Police say an argument started inside the restaurant before spilling outside and across the street.

“There was an altercation inside of the bar/restaurant. The security staff had the people leave the bar at that time and across the street, in the parking lot, there was a shooting that occurred between the gentleman that were fighting in the Corinthian Restaurant,” explained Cincinnati Police, District Two Captain Doug Wiesman.

Two men were shot during the fight. One victim was shot in the buttocks and the other in the chest.

One of the victims, who have not yet been identified, died from his injuries.

After the shots were fired, several witnesses came forward to help police identify the suspects and their vehicle.

“There was a car leaving the scene that we believe was involved in this incident. Dark colored Honda Civic operated by one male Hispanic driver in the car and two male Hispanics in the car with him,” said Wiesman.

Police say they have picked up two suspects and are currently holding them for questioning.
