OKMULGEE, OK — Okmulgee Police have two suspects in custody in the shooting death of 20-year-old Donte Norfleet of Tulsa.
Norfleet was shot while sitting in a vehicle at about 4:18 Monday afternoon near Randolph and Ohio Streets in Okmulgee. Two suspects were seen fleeing from the area. Norfleet was taken to a local hospital where he later died of his wounds.
Two Okmulgee men, 18-year-old Tyler Grant and 18-year-old Jimmy Lee Mitchell III, have been booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on counts of first degree murder.
It appears that the shooting was the result of a robbery gone bad, according to Joe Prentice of the Okmulgee Police Department.

My Big brother Jimmy has made alot of mistakes in his life but I don’t believe that he would kill someone I’ve known him my whole life odviously but still he would never kill someone intensionally.. It just makes me so sad to know that my brother is going to be in jail his whole life. And he’ll never get to spend time with my children and he’ll never get to have children.
