Adam Allred is sentenced in the hit-and-run death of 21-year-old Kelsey Sluder.
Adam Allred, 21, was convicted of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death after the February 2011 crash that killed Kelsey Sluder.
Police said Allred struck Sluder as she was walking across Beach Boulevard.
Rusty Sluder said his daughter cried out to her friend as the two were crossing Beach Boulevard at Palm Lane the night of the crash, but by the time that friend turned around, Sluder was struck by a pickup truck driven by Allred.
Allred left the scene, but was arrested 24 hours after a tip led investigators to his home.
Prosecutors said Allred was not impaired that night, and if he had stopped, he would not have been arrested because Sluder and her friend were at fault for trying to get across Beach Boulevard in busy traffic.
