A woman is in custody after intentionally running over her boyfriend after a dispute, police said. Sharees Dennard, 30, faces vehicular homicide charges in the incident, according to Fairburn police spokesman Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo. Police did not yet identify the victim.
Police were called to the area of Highway 92 and Koweta Road at about 2:15 Sunday morning by motorists who said they saw a body in the road, Bazydlo said,
Investigators discovered that a man and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument at a nearby house. As the woman got into her car to leave the house, the man jumped on to the car, according to police. She continued driving southbound on to Highway 92. At some point the man was either thrown or jumped from the woman’s vehicle, at which point investigators believe he was intentionally struck by the woman.
