An arrest has been made in an incident that left a man dead and a woman in the hospital. The incident appeared to be a fatal car accident but turned out to be a homicide on the I-55 frontage road today. Jesse Freeman, age and address unavailable, has been arrested and charged with homicide in the last hour according to Jackson Police Department spokeswoman Colendula Green. He did have a 9-year-old girl with him. Police do not know the relationship between Freeman and the child.Green said around 9:55 a.m. there was a report of an altercation between the occupants of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and a black Chevrolet Camaro in the parking lot of the Studio 6 motel on the frontage road between the Atkins Boulevard and County Line Road exits.
