Hazlehurst and Copiah County officials are on site at Lake Hazle this morning after a jogger alerted authorities to a body floating in the lake.According to Copiah County Deputy Coroner Rick Akin, the black male victim appears to be in his 50s. His body was located in a small pond off the lake that receives runoff from Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital. Copiah County Coroner Ellis Stuart said he cannot release the man’s name pending notification of the next of kin, but the man was last seen sometime Monday. Stuart said it appears he could have been in the water since he went missing.
