Brandon police are still trying to identify three people who were killed in a fiery crash involving a truck and an 18-wheeler Thursday evening on I-20 West.”They were burned beyond recognition,” Rankin County Coroner Jimmy Roberts said Friday. “We still don’t know who they are.”The pickup that carried two men and a woman was registered to an address in the Star community in rural Rankin County, said Brandon Assistant Police Chief Chris Butts.Butts said officers have been to the address repeatedly but have not found anyone at home.Police said they were somewhat surprised no one had come forward with a report of someone missing or an identity of the three victims.
