CEDAR BLUFF, Ala. (AP) — Crews were searching an Alabama lake for a northwest Georgia man who went under the water.
Alabama Marine Police say the 27-year-old Rome man was with his wife, kids and his father on a pontoon boat when they stopped for fuel near a Cedar Bluff marina at Weiss Lake on Sunday afternoon.
The Gadsden Times reports (http://bit.ly/KX9sQw ) that while the man and his father were getting fuel, the man’s wife and children jumped in the water to cool off. Authorities said the wind began to blow the boat away from them after they jumped off.
