RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) – Police say they have charged two men with murder in the January death of a man who was stabbed in Raleigh as he stopped to see if he could help after an SUV crashed into a utility pole.
Investigators said 35-year-old Samuel Gideon and 34-year-old Christopher Rochelle were taken into custody Friday.
Authorities say the men stabbed 20-year-old Eleazar Hererra after he stopped to see if they were OK after their SUV crashed. Hererra was heading home after a family party.
Investigators haven’t said why the men stabbed Hererra, although Rochelle lives just a short distance from where the killing took place.
