The crash happened on at Graystone Parkway and Lakeview Road, just west of Grayson, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the teens’ car was charged with driving under the influence, Gwinnett police Sgt. Rich Long said.
According to Channel 2, police believe the suspected drunk driver, whose name has not been released, ran a stop sign.
“A passenger in the vehicle that was struck is deceased at the scene,” Long told Channel 2. “That was a juvenile.”
The teenage girl driving that car was critically injured. The names of the teens have also not been released.
Josh Kennedy, who lives near the crash scene, told Channel 2 that he told his parents to call 911, then ran to help the teens, who were trapped in the wreckage.
“Me and another guy broke off two back doors to try to get them out,” Kennedy said.
