A man who died Saturday afternoon after he was shot near the Stonybrook Apartments on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Riviera Beach was identified by police as Melvin Horne, 24 of Riviera Beach.At around 12:15 p.m., rescue officials were called to the scene, where Horne was on the sidewalk near the front of one of the buildings in the housing complex, said police spokeswoman Rose Ann Brown.Horne died at the scene, Brown said, adding that police were investigating several “persons of interest.”Horne was arrested in March for loitering, according to sheriff’s office records.A West Palm Beach resident, who did not want to be identified, said he was at the Stonybrook Apartment complex Saturday afternoon when he suddenly heard three gun shots.
