A onetime co-owner of the Loveless Cafe was found dead in a wrecked car Wednesday night at Edwin Warner Park.George McCabe, who spent 30 years working at the Bellevue restaurant renowned for its biscuits and Southern cuisine, was found by police after a passing driver spotted his car at 10:30 p.m. He was 51.Police said it appears Mr. McCabe was driving his Honda Accord east on Vaughn Road when, for an unknown reason, the car traveled off the road and hit several small trees before stopping in a ditch.He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.Police said an autopsy will be performed to determine whether a medical issue may have contributed to Mr. McCabe’s death. There was no evidence of alcohol at the scene.
