Henry County authorities are investigating the death of a man after what appears to have been a stabbing Sunday afternoon.
Henry County Coroner Derek Wright said Jamar L. Cooke, 36, of Abbeville, was pronounced dead at Barbour Medical Center in Eufaula around 1 a.m. Monday after an incident that happened on Henry County Road 29, just north of Abbeville.
According to Henry County Sheriff’s spokesman Chad Sowell, no charges had been filed as of noon Monday.
