Kevin Lamont French, 27, was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery on Friday by a jury in Davidson County Criminal Court.

In 2008, Andre Veals was at a car wash on Gallatin Road when French shot him, stole his car and then ran him over with it. The incident killed Veals, who was 24.

The vehicle was then taken to Millersville, where it was set on fire.

French could face 51 years in prison.

Charges against Leangelo Ramey, 27, who was also a suspect in the case, are still pending.
