SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio woman has been convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter in the 2009 stabbing death of her boyfriend.
The penalty phase begins Friday for Tiffany James, who was 17 at the time of the killing and claimed self-defense.
James had been charged with murder over the death of 18-year-old Antwan Wolford. Attorneys for James say she had a history of being battered by the father of her young son.
