MALCOLM, Neb. (AP) — The family of a 13-year-old girl says she’s died from injuries suffered in an ATV crash after her hair caught in the engine.
The family of Emma Kringle said in a statement through Lincoln’s Bryan West hospital that she died Monday.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says Emma had been on life support so her organs could be harvested.

Kentucky State Police said they believe alcohol was a factor in a deadly ATV crash Saturday.
Troopers were called to the crash on KY 519 in West Liberty just before 10 p.m.
They said James D. Lewis, 30, was driving an ATV on his property with his 5-year-old son when Lewis tried to climb an embankment.

The red all-terrain vehicle, which was carrying the 52-year-old woman and a man, hit a metal post in the middle of the trail east of Floyd Road, police said. The metal post was placed there to prevent vehicles from traveling on the popular two-lane trail, which was previously a railroad.
Elizabeth Z. Nessley of Austell was ejected from the ATV after impact and died at the scene, police said. After the crash, the vehicle caught fire and burned.
Randall P. Gianisiracusa of Austell, the other passenger on the ATV, sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the scene and released, police said.
Police were trying to determine who was operating the ATV at the time of the crash. It is believed alcohol was a contributing factor and charges may be pending.

A 29-year-old Jonesboro man died Saturday from injuries sustained when he apparently lost control of the ATV he was riding and struck a tree.Louisiana State Police Troop F troopers responded to the single vehicle crash about 7:56 p.m. Saturday in Jackson Parish.The investigation revealed the ATV was traveling west on Louisiana Highway 542 when the driver attempted to turn left onto Cynthia Street. The driver lost control of the ATV, traveled into a ditch and struck a tree. The driver was ejected upon impact.

Ricardo Gonzalez-Lopez of Molalla was killed in a head-on crash Saturday on Oregon 211, about four miles west of Molalla, Oregon State Police report. Lt. Gregg Hastings, state police spokesman, said Gonzalez-Lopez, 50, was driving a Mercury Village van south near Milepost 8 around 6:40 p.m., when he collided with an oncoming GMC Acadia SUV driven by David Wheeler, 66, of Molalla. Gonzalez-Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
