UPDATE: 2 gunmen at funeral killed each other, police say  | ajc.com

This girl said she just found out her boyfriend died.

This girl just found out that her boyfriend was dead.

No arrests were made after the shootings that followed a DeKalb County funeral because investigators say the two gunmen shot and killed each other.

While it’s not clear what led to a fight that ended in deadly gunfire Thursday at Victory for the World Church near Stone Mountain, an increased police presence is expected when funerals are held for the latest two killed, the county’s public safety director said Friday.

Investigators believe that as a funeral ended around 2:30 p.m. Thursday for 19-year-old homicide victim Ryan Devon Guider, words were exchanged, and a fight started.

One of Guider’s friends, 19-year-old Carlos Henderson Jr., was ambushed, William Miller, DeKalb public safety director, told reporters Friday.

“The group assaulted him. He managed to get to his car after escaping them,” Miller said. “He got a gun. He fired. Don’t know if we was trying to fire in self defense. And then someone else got a gun, shot and killed him.”

Rudy Eugene, the man shot by police while mauling a homeless victim along the MacArthur Causeway.

To most of the world, he is known as the Miami Zombie. But the friends and family of Rudy Eugene, who gathered Saturday morning at Grace Funeral Home in Miami to remember the 31 year-old shot and killed by police during a bizarre attack on the MacArthur Causeway, remember him differently.Marckenson Eugene, one of Rudy’s younger siblings, said his late brother “had always been there for him” and would constantly do things such as pay his cell phone bill for him and even throw in a little extra cash when money was tight.

“He was the type of person who would give you his last,” Eugene said. “If he had it, it was yours.”About 150 people attended the private service led by Pastor Keny Felix, who had known Rudy since childhood, when he had attended Sunday school.Felix told the crowd to think of the late man’s family and pray for them and their time of grief. He also asked them to think of “the homeless man [Ronald Poppo] who was affected by Rudy’s actions.”
