FREMONT, Calif. —

The Milpitas man at the center of a single-car crash in Fremont Tuesday afternoon that killed his wife and his 3-year-old son has been arrested on multiple felony charges.

Gilbert Gil, 34, was arrested in Hayward Friday on two counts of felony vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence as well as a charge of felony child endangerment, according to Fremont Police.

Gil was taken into custody without incident and transported to Santa Rita County Jail by ambulance Friday, police said.

Sauk Rapids man could be charged in fatal crash | StarTribune.com

A man from Sauk Rapids, Minn., who was involved in a fatal crash Friday evening near St. Cloud was arrested and could face a charge of criminal vehicular homicide, authorities say.

An initial investigation by the Benton County deputies who responded to the crash at 35th Avenue and 25th Street NE. in Minden Township found that the driver, Jose Fabian, 38, was intoxicated and speeding.

Fabian’s vehicle left the road about 6:30 p.m., went airborne and struck a tree. He was wearing a seat belt and suffered noncritical injuries.

His passenger was David Eberle, 42, of St. Cloud. Eberle, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

Arrest made in crash that killed Eglin Parkway construction worker – Local – Northwest Florida Daily News

FORT WALTON BEACH — A 35-year-old man has been charged with DUI manslaughter in connection with the death of a construction worker on Eglin Parkway last summer.

Michael David Stull of Fort Walton was driving a 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup truck north on Eglin in the inside lane about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 14 when he drifted left into a marked construction zone in the southbound lanes just south of Katherine Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The work was part of the ongoing Eglin resurfacing project from Shalimar to U.S. Highway 98.

San Antonio woman convicted in boyfriend’s death – San Antonio Express-News

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio woman has been convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter in the 2009 stabbing death of her boyfriend.

The penalty phase begins Friday for Tiffany James, who was 17 at the time of the killing and claimed self-defense.

James had been charged with murder over the death of 18-year-old Antwan Wolford. Attorneys for James say she had a history of being battered by the father of her young son.

Woman Arrested After Newborn Found in Trash Bin

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — A 33-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she left her newborn baby in a trash bin near a Fort Lauderdale hotel.

Alexandria Sladon-Marler was arrested Monday and remains in the Broward County Jail where she faces charges of manslaughter and child neglect that caused great harm.

The infant was found in the trash on Aug. 10, wrapped in a pillowcase and towels.

Police initially questioned Sladon-Marler. Officials say she had been treated at Broward Health Medical Center in early August. She told employees that she had had an abortion.

The South Florida SunSentinel reports a medical examiner determined the baby appeared full term and that the umbilical cord had been torn or ripped.

Police say Sladon-Marler had been staying at the hotel where the baby was found.
