LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – The shooting happened around eleven o’ clock Wednesday night when police say Kelshawn Mouton tried to protect a woman from her ex-boyfriend. That’s when he was shot to death.

“I heard gunshots,” said Dorothy Ramsey, a resident in the neighborhood where the shooting happened. “Many rounds of gunshots.”

It’s an unusual sound to hear in this quiet Little Rock neighborhood. Gun shots, one after the other in the middle of the night.

“First we thought it might have been someone,” said Larry Beene, another resident. “Just then we heard a few rounds go off again she said ‘No, that’s someone really shooting.”

Police say residents in the Blackjack Court cul-de-sac were hearing the fatal end of a confrontation between 21-year-old Kelshawn Mouton and 20-year-old Donavan Whittington.

Jerrick Jackson

Police are looking for a pair of men they believe are connected with a fatal home invasion shooting early Tuesday morning.

Jerrick Jackson was shot multiple times in the torso as he attempted to ward off a group of armed robbers trying to force their way into his northwest Atlanta home as he and his fiancée returned home, police said.

Atlanta Police spokesman Sgt. Greg Lyon said police have photos of two individuals trying to use Jackson’s fiancée’s stolen debit card.

Lyon called the two men in the photos “persons of interest” whom investigators are trying to identify.

The images come from video footage recorded just nine hours after the fatal shooting at a store in the 3100 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, he said.

Man shot and killed at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport – CNN.com

(CNN) — A man was shot and killed Thursday in a pre-screening area at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, authorities said.

Houston Police Department spokesman Kese Smith told reporters that the man had just come through the doors in Terminal B when he fired at least one shot into the ceiling.

A Homeland Security Investigations agent was working in an office near the scene, came out and told the man to drop his weapon. The agent fired once at the suspect, who appeared to try to shoot himself at the same time.

An autopsy will determine whose bullet killed the man, who has not been identified, police said.
