For several days, Edward Smith’s family had no idea where he was. But they had a feeling something was wrong.

And it was.

By the time the 78-year-old’s family reported him missing to police Sunday, Smith had been dead for four days, according to Cobb County police. And the last two to see Smith alive, his grandson and the grandson’s girlfriend, are now the two charged with his death.

Smith’s grandson, Casey Ryan Collins, 30, and Collins’ girlfriend, Sarah Elizabeth Cook, 23, both of Mableton, allegedly stabbed and strangled Smith to death inside the older man’s truck, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Then after killing him, Collins and Cook allegedly drove around town in the dead man’s white Ford pickup truck with his body still inside, the warrants state.

Best man in couple’s 2009 wedding now accused of stabbing both, killing the wife – NY Daily News

A weekly dinner get-together for a married couple and their best friend turned deadly Monday when the friend allegedly stabbed the wife and her husband.

Jamie Kirk Hahn, 29, died early Wednesday after police say she was stabbed several times in the abdomen.

CNN — Investigators have no suspect in the stabbing death of a 9-year-old girl in her California home Saturday, a law enforcement official said Sunday.Leila Fowler’s brother found the child with “severe injuries” in the Calaveras County, California, home Saturday, and she was pronounced dead later at a hospital, according to Calaveras County Sheriff Capt. Jim Macedo.Her parents were “nearby at a public event” at the time, Macedo told reporters.The brother, who was not named, “is not a suspect at this time, but we are continuing to talk to him, which would be normal because he was the last person with the child,” he said.

Teen killed in Abbeville – Dothan Eagle: Crime Court

One teenager was killed in Abbeville from what appears to be a stab wound, authorities said Sunday.Barbour County Coroner Derek Wright said Emmett Tyric Leqwaun Brown, 17, was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Sunday. Wright said others were injured, but that the injuries did not appear life threatening.

One man is dead after being found with multiple stab wounds Saturday inside a Snellville home, Gwinnett police said.

The man was still alive when he was discovered by the owner of the home in the 2400 block of Hurndon Road about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. He was a tenant there.
