3 die in crash in Odessa

ODESSA, Texas (AP) – An early morning crash in Odessa killed three people and injured two others.

Odessa police said the three who died were in a car that went out of control and collided with a pickup truck.

The Odessa American reported in its online edition Sunday that the three victims, one from Odessa and two from Brownwood, died at the scene. Medical examiner Shirley Standeffer identified the dead as 30-year-old James Lee Sewell of Odessa, 30-year-old Jodie Elaine Sewell of Brownwood and 22-year-old Tyler Heath Swindall of Brownwood.

The crash occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday. The driver and a passenger in the truck were injured.
