Alabama State Troopers have identified the two men killed in a collision between a train and a truck Tuesday near Cottondale.

Charles Kelly Meiklejohn, 57, of Gulf Shores and Foley resident, Nahum Terrance Mickles, 39, died when the GMC pickup Meiklejohn was driving slid on icy roads and into the path of the oncoming locomotive, said Alabama State Troooper spokesman Sgt. Steve Jarrett.

The 11:35 a.m. collision on Larry Noland Road occurred about two miles north of Cottondale and injured three additional passengers in the truck. Jarrett said there was no official update on their conditions.
