Police said a 23-year-old woman driving a Lexus south on Roosevelt before 9 a.m. Sunday morning had a green light. Roberts was crossing the street in a wheelchair and rolled into the path of her car.
The car hit the wheelchair and the Roberts was ejected. He was taken to UF Health and was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
JSO said because the driver of the car that hit him had a green light and will not face any charges.
