Seletha Small, age 42 was an on-air personality that served the Wiregrass for over the past 15 plus years was an individual who brought love to everyone through her work in radio. Founder of the Goodie Awards coined the name “Goodie Awards” after a childhood nickname she was given and still affectionately called. Seletha used this platform to show personal appreciation for people of the community whom she felt was not shown personal appreciation for the things they did. The Goodie Awards was faith based but non-denominational. Seletha’s envision of the Goodie Awards was to honor local people who did good things without worrying about the credit. Reaching the community through the airwaves, touching lives through songs, laughs, and tears, Seletha has served as a disc jockey at WJJN Wilson Broadcasting, Magic 93.1, and most recently Mix Rio FM in Tuscaloosa, Al. to name a few. Seletha was born on November 7, 1972. She leaves to cherish her memory three beautiful children, her mother, and a host of family and friends.
