Murder suspect possibly connected to missing New Brockton man – Dothan Eagle: News


A missing New Brockton man could be connected to an arrest of a murder suspect captured following a high-speed chase in Oklahoma on Thursday.Friends of 76-year-old Maxwell Barnes reported him missing on Wednesday. He was believed to have been with Barbara Wood, 45, a woman accused of murdering Steven Faulk, 40, of Greenville, in December 2012.According to the Duncan, Oklahoma News, Wood was captured following a chase after fleeing a convenience store.The News said Duncan Police Officer John Byers found documents during a search of Wood’s vehicle that indicated Barnes may have been with her. As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Barnes had not been found.New Brockton Police Chief Dale Grimes said friends of Barnes said he had been missing for about two months.When Duncan Police Officer Ronald Corcorran responded to a Stripes convenience store following a report of a woman who appeared intoxicated, Wood identified herself as a Tammy Johnson.
